KIT architects have won the "best architects 19" award for the Safety Center Weinfelden project. An ambitious award for the avant-garde of the architectural scene.

The Weinfelden Safety Center unites the firefighting forces in one location. The "cultivated" industrial building lies at the entrance to the town on a triangular plot. The building sets an urban accent and marks the interface between industrial and residential areas. The theory rooms on the upper floor are accessed via a two-story foyer and can be used externally or internally, independently of the fire service. The acoustic curtains in the theory rooms improve the room acoustics and are at the same time glare protection.
