The Rolex Learning Center was designed by the Japanese architects SANAA and serves as a training laboratory, a library, and also as a cultural center.

The building is intended for students of the EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne) but is also open to the public. The Rolex Learning Center has an area of 20,000 m2. The conference and event hall has 600 seats and features along the wall the acoustic curtain WHISPER air 100 by Annette Douglas Textiles ACOUSTICS® . The acoustic curtain makes a considerable contribution to the room acoustic in the event- and conference hall.
