Shades of blue for auditorium Dreirosen

acoustic curtain SNOOZER 500

The Drei Rosen School in Basel has a versatile auditorium that can be used as a classroom, music room, meeting room, event room, lecture room and concert hall. This multifunctional room was extensively renovated by Carmen Quade Architects on behalf of the building department of the city of Basel in close cooperation with the preservation of historical monuments. Areas such as lighting, stage technology, room acoustics and the colour concept were fundamentally modernized.

The renovation of the hall also included targeted adjustments to the acoustics along the walls. The niches of the blind windows were covered with "Snoozer" acoustic curtains. The acoustic curtains can be variably pushed to the side or pulled out, depending on the purpose of the hall, in order to optimally adjust the acoustic atmosphere.

The successful combination of modern equipment and respectful handling of the historical character makes the auditorium of the Drei Rosen School building an inspiring and functional space for a variety of activities.
